John Calipari and Bill Self have partnered with country music star Kane Brown for a charity concert in Cincinnati later this month to benefit the McLendon Minority Leadership Initiative.

And KSR readers are invited to attend — for a discounted rate, of course.

Thanks to the sponsors of the Kane Brown Charity Concert, KSR has been given the opportunity to offer $25 tickets to see the multi-platinum, 5X AMA award-winning entertainer at Fifth Third Arena in Cincinnati on October 28.

The Kane Brown Charity Concert presented by Prolink, altafiber, and Fifth Third Bank will raise awareness and funds for the McLendon Minority Leadership Initiative, which was founded by Calipari and Harvard coach Tommy Amaker with the mission of providing minorities a jump-start to their careers through practical experiences, opportunities to build their network, and instilling the values of John McLendon: Integrity, education, leadership, and mentorship. More than two dozen NCAA coaches have joined the initiative, including Kansas’ Bill Self, Alabama’s Nick Saban, as well as local coaches Wes Miller, Luke Fickell, and Sean Miller.

“It’s exciting to continue to bring awareness to the McLendon Leadership Initiative with opportunities like the Kane Brown Charity Concert,” John Calipari said. “We are also so appreciative of Cincinnati companies ProLink and G3 Marketing who have been instrumental in helping me scale this program.”

The concert comes just before Kane Brown kicks off his “Drunk or Dreaming” Tour and marks the first concert at UC’s Arena since its renovation. It will feature a full set by Kane and an opening act by Nashville-based Restless Road.
