The national spotlight will be on Lexington Saturday night when Kentucky hosts Florida at Kroger Field. Kickoff is set for 6 pm on ESPN.

Every member of the BBN is all too well acquainted with heartbreak suffered at the hands of the Gators. Tonight is a good night to leave that ugliness in the past. Four of the eight matchups between Stoops and Florida have been decided by one score or less, yet the Wildcats still have not defeated the Gators in Lexington since 1986.

Kentucky is facing a blitz-happy Todd Grantham defense for seemingly the tenth straight season. The Cats have handled it well, setting up Will Levis and Wan’Dale Robinson for a big night under the lights. Brad White’s defense faces a much tougher task: slowing down the nation’s third-ranked rush offense. The QB run game with Emory Jones is lethal. Florida will get yards. The key is limiting the explosive plays on the ground.

Saturday night will be a dogfight. To give the BBN a night to remember, the Cats must clean up the turnovers and play sound football. Stoops has built Kentucky into a program that can go toe-to-toe with the likes of Florida. Now Kentucky must execute to knock down one more door.

The Perfect Start to your Morning

There’s nothing like a hearty cup of Joe in the morning, just ask Will Levis!

I’ll have mayo with just about anything and everything, but I think I’ll continue drinking my coffee black. You probably don’t even need any caffeine to wake up today. All you need is this UK hype video.

Keep the juices flowing by reliving the last time the Cats took down the Gators.

Today’s Uniforms

Kentucky is bringing out the all-blue uniforms against the Gators. Since the start of the 2017 season the Wildcats are 5-1 when wearing blue lids, jerseys and pants. The only loss was the Gators’ last trip to Lexington. Wan’Dale Robinson is setting his custom Dunks aside and breaking out some new True Blue Customs for the special occasion.

YAHTZEE

Kentucky’s recruiting class grew to 15 Friday morning when Cincinnati Moeller speedster Brandon White committed to the Cats. The wide receiver has been clocked at 4.28 in the 40-yard dash. The dude has juice that’s plain to see on tape. The addition of White moves UK to No. 22 in the 247 Composite Recruiting Rankings. It set the tone for a big Kentucky recruiting weekend.

Big Kentucky Recruiting Weekend

Mark Stoops is bringing out a ton of future stars for the showdown with Florida. Five-star wide receiver Barion Brown will officially visit alongside about a dozen Kentucky commits on unofficials, including Kiyaunta Goodwin, the Wade Twins, Alax Afari and more. It might even be a more significant weekend for recruiting in the 2023 class. Zack Geoghehan has a complete rundown of today’s visitors.

It’s not just a big weekend for the football team. Chris Livingston is returning for a second official visit to help convince Adem Bona to commit to Kentucky on his official visit. I’m sure those two will be popular people in the Kroger Field stands Saturday night.
