KSR’s Kentucky High School Boys’ Basketball Top 25 Rankings - Week 1

Troy Howellby:Troy Howell12/04/23

With the high school football season officially in the books, our eyes turn toward the hardwood.

The 2023-24 Kentucky high school boys’ basketball season is now one week into the schedule. There’s already been plenty of movement in KSR’s Top 25 rankings, too. Although the top three remain the same, our updated rankings saw Lexington Catholic bumped up three spots while Trinity slid down four spots after losing to Male, 62-55, in a battle between two of Louisville’s best. As a result, Male cracked the top five.

Other significant movers in the Week 1 rankings include Washington County (+6), Woodford County (-5), and George Rogers Clark (+5). Elsewhere, three new teams have cracked the Top 25 while defending state champion Warren Central went from No. 14 to unranked after an 0-2 start to the season.

You can check out the entirety of the updated Top 25 below. Our preseason rankings can be found here.
