SEC Games

Georgia 26 Nicholls State 24

https://twitter.com/SECNetwork/status/774678741805047808 Georgia escaped this game. In fact, in the middle of the 3rd quarter the Bulldogs were down 14-13. In the first half, the Georgia offense was non-existent. After an impressive win last week, the Bulldogs only had 80 yards of rushing from Nick Chubb and only beat the FCS Colonels by 2.

Texas A&M 67 Prairie View A&M 0

https://twitter.com/SECNetwork/status/774653121649840128 This one was not even close. Trevor Knight passed for 344 yards and 3 touchdowns while also rushing for 78 yards and a touchdown. The Aggies need to continue this to next week when they visit Auburn in a huge game.

Alabama 38 WKU 10

https://twitter.com/BCrawford247/status/774743412100694016?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw Jalen Hurts passed for 287 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Crimson Tide defeated Western Kentucky 38-10. Nick Saban was NOT happy after the game saying, “I don’t know I’ve ever been this disappointed after winning a game, maybe ever.” The cameras also caught Nick Saban ripping into offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin. Only Saban and Alabama would be disappointed after a 4 touchdown win...

Ole Miss 38 Wofford 13

https://twitter.com/TheLukeRoberson/status/774731567549681664 After an embarrassment last week, the Rebels were able to get back on track with a 38-13 win over Wofford. Chad Kelly threw for 219 yards and 3 touchdowns and Wofford again primarily ran the football. The Rebels have their biggest game of the year coming up on Saturday as they welcome Alabama into Oxford.

Vanderbilt 47 MTSU 24

https://twitter.com/AtlDore/status/774713995962019840 In what was a surprise to most, Vanderbilt won a shootout with MTSU. Ralph Webb had a MASSIVE game as he rushed for 211 yards and 2 touchdowns. Vanderbilt looked like a completely different football team then the one that showed up at home against South Carolina a week ago. Vanderbilt now hits the road for back-to-back road games against Georgia Tech and Western Kentucky. https://www.instagram.com/p/BKOXY_7DzYl/
Note: This is just a really cool picture!

Arkansas 41 TCU 38 (2OT)

https://vine.co/v/5J6TW63VHqh In what was the best game of the weekend, Arkansas upset TCU in double overtime. Rawleigh Williams rushed for 137 and Austin Allen rushed for the game-winning touchdown in the game. For the Horned Frogs, Kenny Hill had a big game passing for 377 yards and rushed for 93.

Mississippi State 27 South Carolina 14

https://twitter.com/SECNetwork/status/774758310839025665 Mississippi State was embarrassed last week following a loss to USA. This game was important for them to get back on track. Nick Fitzgerald broke the Mississippi State record for rushing yards by a quarterback by rushing for 195 and passing for 178. Fitzgerald will look to bring this into Death Valley next week when they visit LSU. For the Gamecocks, the defense obviously struggled as did their offense. They will need to find ways to gain consistency among both, before welcoming in a tough East Carolina team.

Auburn 51 Arkansas State 14

https://twitter.com/SECNetwork/status/774773319975526400 When the first whistle blew, Auburn dominated and didn't stop. Kamryn Pettway and Kerryon Johnson each had over 100 yards rushing. Sean White also passed for 244 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Tigers look to be improved from last season following back to back good performances.

LSU 34 Jacksonville State 13

https://twitter.com/SECNetwork/status/774790094494597120 Danny Etling took over at quarterback for the Tigers and LSU defeated Jacksonville State 34-13. They may have found a replacement for Brandon Harris who has been extremely disappointing so far this season. Without Leonard Fournette, LSU turned to Derrius Guice who rushed for 155 yards and a touchdown.

Missouri 61 Eastern Michigan 21

https://twitter.com/MizzouFootball/status/774831273005068288 Drew Lock passed for 450 yards and 5 touchdowns in route to a big win over Eastern Michigan. The Mizzou defense held Eastern Michigan to only 3.1 yards/rush. The Tigers accounted for almost 650 total yards. This marked the first win for Coach Barry Odom. If you watch the video above, you can see what his players think of him. It is a cool moment.

Tennessee 45 Virginia Tech 24

https://vine.co/v/5J6IIbzbJAF 156,990 turned out to watch Tennessee defeat Virginia Tech. The Hokies amassed for 70 more yards of offense than the Vols, fumbled the ball 5 times. Joshua Dobbs passed for only 91 yards, but had five total touchdowns and 106 rushing yards. Tennessee needed to prove that they are a legitimate contender in the SEC East and they achieved that. Next, they welcome Ohio into Neyland Stadium, before a massive showdown against Florida.
