Remember LaMelo, the youngest Ball brother? After playing professionally in Lithuania, he’s back in the States and returning to high school. At his introductory press conference at Spire Institute in Ohio (because of course there was a press conference), Ball said he’s getting his high school degree in hopes of playing college ball at a high-profile program like Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina, Kansas, or Michigan State.

LaMelo averaged only 6.5 points in eight games in Lithuania, but that’s not stopping the LaVar Ball hype train.

UPDATE: For those of you asking, it’s not clear whether LaMelo would be eligible to play in college. He played professionally in Lithuania and in the JBA, but his family claims he was never paid in order to maintain his eligibility in the US. Still, no thanks.
