WHY Star USC RB Reggie Bush Got His 2005 Heisman Trophy BACK

Kentucky tailback La’Vell Wright entered the portal as a graduate transfer on April 10. Two weeks later, the Radcliff (Ky.) North Hardin product has found his second college football home. Wright is head to the FCS.

The tailback committed to Austin Peay on Wednesday.

A class of 2021 signee, the former three-star recruit spent three years at Kentucky. La’Vell Wright will be a redshirt junior in 2024 with two years of eligibility remaining. Under offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello as a redshirt freshman in 2022, La’Vell Wright saw action in all 13 games recording 39 carries for 120 yards and six receptions for 28 yards. However, an injury forced Wright to miss the entire 2023 season after taking a redshirt year in 2021.

In high school, La’Vell Wright rushed for 4,019 yards and 53 touchdowns over his last three years at North Hardin. Wright picked Kentucky over Maryland, Northwestern, and West Virginia.
