This weekend was a great time to take an official visit in the state of Kentucky.

Over the weekend the Wildcats hosted seven prospective recruits. Fans are not privy to seeing much from the official visit, except for the photoshoot portion at Kroger Field. This year the athletics department is slightly altering the event, taking the party outside. As Kentucky battles Tennessee for Cristian Conyer, the Bowling Green cornerback appears to have enjoyed his time in Lexington.

Jaden Robinson was a surprise, late addition to the guest list. Chris Collins and Mike Stoops were able to get the four-star linebacker on campus before he takes an official visit to South Carolina next weekend.

Malachi Wood has been a frequent flyer to Lexington, but I believe this is the first time the UK offensive tackle commit from Madison Central has tried on the full kit.

Even though he’s currently committed to Colorado, Philadelphia OL Naquil Bertrand was happy to pose in Kentucky blue. UK isn’t the only SEC school in the mix. He’ll officially visit Auburn this week.

Private Jets and Ls Down at Louisville

Scott Satterfield’s football program has not produced a ton of wins in recent years, but they’re still turning heads on the recruiting front. Louisville pushed its biggest chips into the middle of the table this weekend when Pierce Clarkson, the UofL QB commit that got the ball rolling with this recruiting class, took his official visit to the Derby City. He brought a bunch of his friends, who were all treated to an Instagram photoshoot with luxury cars and private jets at Bowman Field.

The Cards brought more luxury cars to the stadium, and let players pose with Lamar Jackson’s Heisman Trophy. Of all the snapshots, no one was more photogenic than Koby Keenum. A week after officially visiting Kentucky, the three-star offensive lineman looks like he is throwing some Ls Down while posing in Cardinal garb.

It wasn’t all roses for the team in red. Martel Hight decommitted from the Cards as Kentucky, Vanderbilt and a slew of other SEC schools crank up the heat on the four-star linebacker’s recruitment.
