team transfer Pictures, Images and Photos - It's not a slow day for news around the football program as the anticipation of the BBVA Compass Bowl is now countered by the news that Donald Russell has been granted a release from his scholarship.  The sophomore from West Palm Beach, Florida averaged 4.6 yards per carry this season in picking up 293 yards on 64 runs.  His mother had been very vocal about the coaching staff being dishonest with him regarding their plans for him. - Also, defensive lineman Elliot Porter is trying to decide if he will transfer.  The lineman came to UK with much attention after leaving LSU when the school picked up too many commitments.  He did not play for the team and is said to be battling homesickness.  - Finally, suspended defensive tackle Mister Cobble is eligible to play in the BBVA Compass Bowl after sitting out this season due to academics.  Cobble has already lost a year of eligibility and now could play in UK's bowl game. - UK also announced that Danny Trevathan and Winston Guy will have their draft stock evaluated after the season.  Both players are not committed to going pro, but were encouraged to test their stock by Joker Phillips.
