The starting left tackle for the LSU Tigers is looking for a new home. Could it be Lexington?

Jimmy Smith of Rivals’ Tiger Details reports that Dare Rosenthal is expected to request his entry into the transfer portal on Monday. According to Smith, the move comes after Rosenthal violated school policies that could cost him the 2021 season.

Rosenthal started in six of eight games last season for LSU. As a redshirt freshman he backed up Saahdiq Charles, now of the Washington Football Team, playing in seven games as a reserve.

A 6-foot-7, 330-pound force on the edge, Rosenthal is poised to be an NFL Draft pick in May of 2022 if he can find the right fit on and off the field. It worked well enough for Kelvin Joseph at the University of Kentucky. Maybe Rosenthal will produce even better results in Lexington…
