The good people over at Sports Illustrated shared an interview one of its NBA writers, Andrew Sharp, had with Malik Monk recently as Monk gets ready for the draft. Monk's responses were short and sweet (if you heard his interview with KSR, you know he's not a big talker) but he dropped some nice lines in there about his time at Kentucky, his relationship with other Wildcats, playing for John Calipari, what he expects in the NBA, wearing JCPenney, and more. Maybe the best of Monk's quotes came when he was asked about his one year at UK, to which he said, "If you want to go to the NBA and you want a career as a basketball player, if you're getting recruited by Kentucky, go there." I'm also a fan of his answer when asked who he patterns his game after: "Malik Monk." For more from Monk, including Trump vs. LaVar Ball and Twitter vs. Instagram, check out SI.com's Q&A here.
