On August 30, Benny Snell received a marijuana citation after police in Hamilton County, Ohio pulled him over for speeding and found pot in his car. According to the Tribune-Review, the drug charge was withdrawn in court this week — as is common practice in Ohio in cases involving small amounts of marijuana — but the former Cat turned Pittsburgh Steeler could still face disciplinary action from the NFL.

Snell admitted to smoking about 20 minutes before being pulled over. According to the police report, the deputy found 2.74 grams of marijuana in a baggie with Star Wars logo on it and an unloaded, licensed 9mm Glock handgun in a case in the car. Snell was driving 68 mph in a 55 mph zone and pleaded guilty to speeding, paying $240 in fines and court costs.

Snell had five carries for 13 yards in the Steelers’ game vs. the Miami Dolphins before leaving with a knee injury. According to head coach Mike Tomlin, he’ll be limited in practice this week.
