Mark Stoops to Headline 2023 Commonwealth Coaches Clinic

The Tim Short Auto Mall Commonwealth Coaches Clinic is making its return.
The Clinic is an event that looks to develop the profession of football coaching and was created by former All-American Travis Leffew, Boyle County head coach Justin Haddix, Boyle County assistant coach Travis Burns, and Jackson Arnett. After the disappearance of the Nike Clinic in Louisville last year, this group of coaches felt like a conference such as the CCC was much needed. After finding a place to host such an event, the green light was given.
In its first year of operation, the Commonwealth Coaches Clinic was attended by 168 coaches from all across the state of Kentucky, a great success for all involved. Head coaches from the 2021 State Championship teams all gave phenomenal speeches filled with very knowledgeable insight that coaches both young and old found very beneficial. Respected coaches from this year’s State Championship teams, such as KSR’s High School Coach of the Year (Bullitt East’s Keegan Kendrick), Pikeville’s Chris McNamee (Four-time State Champion), and others are scheduled to speak this year.
The Clinic expects to have over 300 coaches attend this year’s event, with some great presentations from some of the state’s best.
“We believe that this is a great opportunity to listen to the best coaches in the state at the high school and collegiate levels to develop professionally and to make connections with other coaches,” 3x State Champion and event organizer Justin Haddix told KSR. “[Coaches] will gain a wealth of knowledge in all areas of the game and learn from different perspectives around the state. We coaches should come together as a profession to continue to develop their players, schools, and communities.”
