Max Duffy is officially the best punter in college football. The voters for the Ray Guy Award said so.

Duffy was named the recipient of the Ray Guy Award, given annually to the nation’s premier punter, at Thursday night’s Home Depot College Football Awards show. A native of Australia, Duffy came to Kentucky as the No. 1 punting prospect in the class of 2018 by Ray Guy’s ProKicker.com.

In this 2019 season, his junior year, Duffy leads the nation in punting at 48.6 yards per punt, while only nine of his 47 punts have been returned and 24 of the 47 landed inside the 20-yard line.

He is currently UK’s career punt leader with a 46.5-yard career average.

In addition to his school records and Ray Guy Award trophy, Duffy earned First Team All-SEC honors by the AP, Second Team All-SEC by the coaches (dumb), and First-Team All-America by Walter Camp; as well as two Ray Guy Award Player of the Week selections and an SEC Special Teams Player of the Week award back in October.

Congrats to the GOAT.
