Michael Avery has a home

Michael Avery committed to Billy Gillispie and the Kentucky Wildcats in 2008... as a 15-year old. You remember. Billy G and the commitment from an 8th grade recruit made national news for its absurdity. Then when Billy G left for wetter pastures, Coach Cal yanked away Avery's scholarship faster than you can say "Orange Leaf frozen yogurt is delicious." Sorry, kid. Well, yesterday, Michael Avery found a new university to house his college basketball skills. Avery committed to Sonoma State in Rohnert Park, California. (Yeah, I Google'd that.) When Avery committed to Kentucky, he was a young 6-foot-4 prospect with the potential to be a big man at Kentucky. He joins the Seawolves of Sonoma State as a 6-foot-5 shooting guard. Think about that when you're watching Alex Poythress next season.
