Mister Cobble Eligible
One of the positive stories to come out of the football post season (one of the few,) was the possibility that Mister Cobble would get a chance to suit up for the Cats. Joker announced today that he met the requirements, and Cobble is now eligible for the bowl game. Not only would that give us a great name to write on posters, it will also give us another DT – and the more help on defense we can get the better. Coming into the season the coaching staff was expecting great things from Cobble, after winning the ‘Most Valuable Defensive Scout Team Member,’ his freshmen redshirt season.
Cobble credits his new Academic policy, or as he put it “I didn’t procrastinate, I didn’t chase girls. I stayed in my room, read my books, and answered the phone with mama called.” Or what we like to call it around here – The Matt Jones Rules.
Some great news for the football cats – and we’re looking forward to seeing him play.
