NABC? What NABC?

by:Thomas Beisner12/15/08
Once upon a time, there was a coach. This coach was in charge of the winningest program of all-time. This coach liked to hit the recruiting trail hard and try to land the best talent, no matter where it was from or what their graduation year was. Then one day, the big bad NABC came knocking and recommended that offers be held off until kids were juniors and used this coach as it's example of recklessness. The only problem with this story though, is that there is no happy ending (I said "happy ending") for the NABC because no one is following this recommendation.  The latest example of the disregard for the NABC comes in the form of 15-year old Tyler Lewis, who already has an offer from Virginia Tech, Auburn and Charlotte.  Lewis is 5-10 and averages 13.5 points and 4.3 assists per game and he's getting major conference D-1 offers.  No matter what his development, those offers will still be there according to the coaches offering. As an added bonus, this story also provides the always solid Rusty LaRue sighting as well.  I just thought that was worth mentioning.
