I think we've found the best one available on the open market. If you scan Pro Football Focus' 250-player Big Board ahead of the NFL Draft, you will find UK offensive lineman Logan Stenberg in the fourth round at No. 114 overall. A PFF third team All-SEC selection in 2019, this is how they describe the offensive guard's play:
Stenberg is offensive line coach porn as he relishes the finish. He's also a PFF favorite for his work in pass protection where he's been one of the best in college football.
What exactly is offensive line coach porn? Allow me to share a few small examples. https://twitter.com/colecubelic/status/1171608582896439296 https://twitter.com/JReidNFL/status/1227623217545842688 https://twitter.com/colecubelic/status/946954229817757696 If you prefer a less crude description, one might say Stenberg is a high-volume breakfast chef because he's constantly serving pancakes. Stenberg is one spot behind Lynn Bowden in PFF's NFL Draft Big Board. Their description of Kentucky's versatile athlete isn't as flattering as the Wildcat offensive lineman.
Bowden is still more gimmick than wide receiver. While he's incredibly dynamic with the ball in his hands, the worry is that he'll always have to be schemed touches in the NFL rather than collect them through the normal flow of an offense.
The "worry" about Bowden is also what could catapult him up draft boards. He is not the only unpolished wide receiver in the deep field. What makes him unique is that his "gimmick" is unlike any other player in this draft. You have quarterbacks and wide receivers available, but there aren't any other players who have played both, all while receiving reps as a running back and on special teams. The first round of the NFL Draft is Thursday at 8 p.m. on ESPN, NFL Network and ABC. Fridays' second and third round coverage begins at 7 p.m. on the same networks. If Stenberg and Bowden fall to the fourth round, you could hear their names called as early as noon on Saturday. [Pro Football Focus]
