Of course this is the most popular soda in Kentucky

The website "Eat This, Not That!" found the most popular soft drink in each state across America, from the big brands like Coca-Cola and Pepsi to the regional brews like Cheerwine and Delaware Punch (which is popular in Louisiana, surprisingly). Kentucky's most popular soft drink may surprise you, too -- that is, if you're expecting it to be Ale-8-One. Believe it or not (and I wholeheartedly believe it), Mountain Dew is the sugary drink of choice across the Bluegrass. In fact, Kentuckians buy more cases of Mountain Dew than any other state in the country.
Kentucky - Mountain Dew The Midwest and South love their Hulk-hued beverage, and Kentucky reigns number one when it comes to sales. Bluegrass State dwellers buy the most cases of Mountain Dew per capita compared to any other state, according to a Beverage Digest report. (Eat This, Not That!)
I once drank 24 cans of Mountain Dew in one night in high school, but have since given it up because it's so bad for you. Outside of the occasional Diet Coke in the UK press box, you'll rarely catch me drinking any soft drinks these days. And I'm not alone, either. Both Coca-Cola and Pepsi saw a decline in volume last year. But here in Kentucky, Mountain Dew is still king. Speaking of that, do people still spread that lie about Yellow 5 and its effect on men? I remember hearing it all the time back when I was addicted to Dew. Just wondering. Anyway, enjoy the rest of your day.
