On Scotty Hopson....

Lots of talk this weekend about potential news that Scotty Hopson's people are on UK's campus talking with the staff about Hopson potentiall coming to UK. Whether this actual tidbit of news is true or not is uncertain to me. I have no basis for knowing that the handlers are or are not on campus. This however I do know....for as long as the summer has gone on, a source I trust has told me that as soon as AAU season was over (which it now is), Scotty would be reconsidering UK. I have shared that opinion many times on here and still believe it now. Thus thte notion that Scotty Hopson could be looking at UK through his people today would not shock me at all. Some have interviewed Scotty recently (including me) and gotten the same "everything is the same and I am going to Miss St" lines from him at each juncture. I am not calling him now as I believe we will get the same response. However, what should be remembered is that Scotty will not tell anyone he is looking at another school until he officially decommits from the Bulldogs.....and that hasnt happened yet. So any interview with Hopson is on its very face, likely to give us very little information that is helpful. None of this is to say that the story about Hopson's handlers is or isnt true. I have no idea. But I do know that the Hopson and UK story is not finished, even if none of the information ever becomes public knowledge.
