The latest update to On3’s recruiting rankings are kind to the 2023 Kentucky football class. You will find a pair of UK commitments and a handful of other remaining targets in the On300.

You will find seven Kentucky football recruits in the updated On300 rankings. Four-star wide receiver Shamar Porter comes in at No. 131 overall, higher than many others around the recruiting industry. On3 national recruiting analyst Charles Power shines some light on Porter as a top 10 wide receiver prospect in America.

“One of the more physically-gifted wide receivers in the 2023 cycle with a big frame, long arms and top-end speed. Physical wideout that looks to attack the football and dominate defenders with the ball in his hands. Violent runner after the catch and constantly fights for yardage. Shows vertical ability when high-pointing the football and on the basketball court. Flashes his body control and range when extending for the football away from his body. Has the ability to get downfield quickly and track the deep ball with ease, Ran 10.89 seconds in the 100 meters as a junior. Also ran 22.90 seconds in the 200 meters and jumped 43’03” feet in the long jump as a sophomore. Will need to refine his route running ability to help separate from twitchier corners. Toolsy player who has all the physical traits to be productive at the next level as a big-bodied X-receiver.”

One of Kentucky’s most recent commitments is also in the Top 200. Alabama defensive back Avery Stuart comes in at No. 174 shortly after pledging his allegiance to the Wildcats.
