He did his time in the development league early in the season and now the future is looking bright for Patrick Patterson in Houston.  Rockets head coach Rick Adelman said Patterson has moved ahead of Jordan Hill in the rotation and it will likely stay that way for a while. From the Houston Chronicle:
Patterson gets his chance Rockets rookie Patrick Patterson played throughout the fourth quarter against the Clippers on Wednesday, moving ahead of Jordan Hill in Rick Adelman's rotation, a switch the coach said may continue. "I wanted to see how he could play the people he was going to go up against, and he did a nice job," Adelman said. "We were defending pretty well, so I left him in there." With the Rockets beginning a stretch of games against teams that rely on pick-and-roll offense, especially late in games, Patterson's defensive discipline could be a key. "He really knows how to play defensively in a team concept," Adelman said. "For a young guy, he picks up things very quickly. He's always in the right spot. It's just a matter of consistently going to the boards."
Buster and Tywanna's baby boy has been doing exactly what has been asked of him so far in his rookie season and he's slowly emerging into that NBA player all of us in BBN expect him to be.  There's still a lot of growing to do but the news of Patrick moving up in the rotation so soon is great to hear and hopefully he'll keep climbing the ladder to stardom. Keep making us proud, P-Pat. And don't forget to call us every once in a while to keep us up to date on any Patterson and Lucas news.
