Phil Steele "optimistic" that there will be a 2020 College Football Season

Ted Hyman | 247 Sports
College football’s favorite preseason prognosticator has one big prediction for the 2020 college football season.
For the last 25 years Phil Steele’s College Football Preview has been the unofficial bible for college football junkies during talking season. The magazine features profiles on every single FBS team. It includes rankings, all-conference teams and so much more. He packs so much info into the pages, there is an abbreviation system to fit all of the font on the slim margins.
To prepare for the voluminous project, he complements his research by interviewing almost every head coach in the country. As his project nears a wrap after dozens and dozens of interviews, Steele is optimistic that football will be played this fall.

I am optimistic that we will have a college football season this year! I have five more head coach interviews today, going over each of their teams 2020 depth charts as I continue to work on the 2020 College Football Preview.

Listeners of the Free Money Podcast will take every Phil Steele prediction with a grain of salt. Even though he may not be on the money in his weekly predictions, his perspective on this matter is unlike anyone in the media biz.
Steele’s news is music to the ears of college football fans, however, it’s not exactly a symphony. The sooner his magazine is on shelves, the better. He’s already been passed by Athlon Sports. Time is ticking, Phil.
