Pittsburgh transfer Jaland Lowe officially signs with Kentucky

Three of Kentucky’s four portal commits have put pen to paper.
On3’s Pete Nakos reported Thursday morning that Pittsburgh transfer Jaland Lowe has officially signed with the Wildcats. Lowe joins Mouhamed Dioubate (Alabama) and Kam Williams (Tulane), who signed on Wednesday, as Mark Pope‘s three portal signees so far. Jayden Quiantance (Arizona State) expects to sign with the ‘Cats soon.
Lowe is likely to take over Kentucky’s starting point guard in 2025-26. As a sophomore at Pitt this past season, the 6-foot-2 floor general averaged 16.8 points, 5.5 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.8 steals per outing. He was named Third-Team All-ACC for the Panthers.

Along with the four incoming transfers, Pope is also adding a recruiting class consisting of three four-stars, all ranked among the top 35 prospects in the 2025 high school class: Jasper Johnson, Malachi Moreno, and Acaden Lewis. Those seven newcomers equal to the nation’s sixth-best incoming class, according to On3.
Pope likely isn’t done yet though with plenty of time to make more moves. He has room to add another player (or possibly two) from the portal before putting a bow on his second roster as head coach.
