Just two days after Kentucky left tackle Landon Young announced his return to Kentucky for his final year of eligibility, junior nose guard Quinton Bohanna followed suit this afternoon. "Three years ago, I made the biggest and best decision of my life to come to the University of Kentucky, and I couldn't imagine being anywhere else," the 6-foot-4, 361-pound defensive lineman wrote in a post on social media. "The bond I have built with current and former teammates formed a brotherhood that's going to last forever. "What Coach Stoops has built and continues to build is going to be special for a long time at Kentucky. The NFL is my dream, but I have decided to return to Kentucky and compete for the East and an SEC Championship. "We've got unfinished business." During the 2019 season, Bohanna racked up 18 total tackles (nine solo), one sack, and one pass deflection in the middle. A leader of the defense, Bohanna has been a key factor in the collective unit allowing  34 points or less in 27 straight games, the longest active streak in the nation and the longest for Kentucky since a 45-game streak from 1976-80. Allowing just 329 yards in a 37-30 victory over Virginia Tech in the Belk Bowl, it was the eighth consecutive game that UK has allowed fewer than 330 yards. The Wildcats finished the year ranked No. 14 overall in scoring defense (19.3 PPG allowed), No. 21 in total defense (324.6 YPG allowed), No. 8 in 4th down defense (35% allowed), and No. 20 in first downs allowed (225), among other impressive defensive stats. Bohanna returns to join a defensive unit that will feature the likes of DeAndre Square, Josh Paschal, Chris Oats, and Brandin Echols, among other elite playmakers. Factor in Kentucky's ability to redshirt every player on the defense from the 2019 signing class, along with the program's elite recruiting class for 2020, and the future is certainly bright in Lexington.
