While there are a ton of former Cats in the NBA, there’s really only one that will be a free agent this offseason. That of course is Rajon Rondo, who is one of the more intriguing free agents out there because of his talent combined with the thought of him being a locker room killer.

Matt Moore at CBS went as far as to ranking him 79th in his top-80 NBA Free Agent Value list. One spot ahead of Seth Curry and behind the likes of Cole Aldrich, Alan Anderson, Garrett Temple and Tyler Johnson. Now to be fair to Moore he does say “I know, I know. Rondo’s actual basketball ability puts him about 40 spots higher. But remember, this list is about value.”

One of the reasons Moore has Rondo so low is the fact he’ll be looking for big money and that his defense has fallen off compared to where he was once was. He goes on to say that Rondo is a major risk that could have a major payoff. He lists Sacramento, Chicago and Memphis as the three best fits for Rondo.
