The return of football to the BBN this spring is refreshing... for a little while.
There's one big downside to spring practice for fans. Instead of four or five practices a week for each game, there are 14 practices followed by one scrimmage. After a few practices, there's only so much you can talk about.
To avoid the monotony, this spring I'll be asking football players questions that never get asked. For example, this week I asked the new quarterback Joey Gatewood if the opposite of Gatewood is 'Fence-tile.' Is that stupid? Yes. Is it informative? Maybe not that question, but I promise you will learn something in this five-minute conversation. Just a few things I discovered...
