Kentucky has added a new visitor for Big Blue Madness. 2027 four-star point guard Reese Alston will be visiting Kentucky for Big Blue Madness on Saturday, Oct. 11, he tells KSR+.

Kentucky was one of the first schools to call Alston on June 15 when colleges could begin reaching out to 2027 prospects. The 6-foot-2, 160-pound point guard from Second Baptist (Houston, TX) has remained in contact with UK ever since.

Alston is the son of former NBA point guard Rafer Alston. He recently took an unofficial visit to Wichita State.

“It means a lot, knowing that someone from a school like that really wants to coach me and really believes in me,” Alston told KSR+ in June. “It’s just a great opportunity.”

Reese Alston’s Game

Second Baptist (Texas) four-star point guard Reese Alston is the nation’s No. 22 overall prospect according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, an equally weighted average that utilizes all three major recruiting services. Rivals ranks Alston as the No. 2 point guard and the No. 9 overall player in the 2027 class.

“His greatest strength is his athleticism, his quick first step, and his ability to always be under control at all times,” his father, Rafer, told KSR+. “Whatever the defense is throwing at him, he’s always under control, and he’s not a kid who gets rattled. That’s the impressive part about him. To have that type of poise at that age is just tremendous.”
