Rhyne Howard completes All-America Grand Slam

by:Ty Schadt04/04/21

UK guard Rhyne Howard has been busy collecting a bevy of awards and honors this offseason, and yesterday she added another to her increasingly stacked resume.

Saturday afternoon, the junior was awarded First-Team All-America honors by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association, becoming the first Wildcat to complete the All-America grand slam, which consists of earning the following awards: AP All-America First Team, Wooden All-America First Team, USBWA All-America First Team, and WBCA All-America First Team.

It’s an immense honor for Howard, who also boasts back-to-back SEC Player of the Year awards. We could talk forever about how impressive her junior season was and how she led the Cats in scoring, rebounds, and assists, but we’d rather allow you the chance to re-live some of those special moments yourself.
