2023 five-star guard Rob Dillingham is undoubtedly among the most electric scorers in all of high school basketball. Oozing confidence as a shot-maker at all three levels, he’s capable of going for 30-plus on any given night.

And Thursday was any given night for the future Kentucky guard.

Participating in the inaugural OTE Opening Night, a six-team showcase event featuring the nation’s top prospects at the state-of-the-art Overtime Elite facility in Atlanta, Dillingham put on a show. The 6-foot-2 guard out of Charlotte, NC went for a game-high 36 points on 64.3% from the field, 62.5% from three and 81.3% from the line to go with five rebounds, four steals and three assists.

His shiftiness and shot creation were put on full display in the high-profile event, using his handles to break ankles and create space for clean looks. And then when he got to his spots, he was incredibly efficient.

Put simply, it was a spectacular performance for the Kentucky pledge.

And another look at the highlights:

Dillingham teamed up with the likes of five-star PF Omaha Biliew, five-star SG Jared McCain, four-star CG Mikey Williams, four-star SF JJ Taylor and four-star PF Brandon Gardner, among others, in a tough loss down the stretch. The future Wildcat’s squad fell to OTE’s Cold Hearts squad, one featuring ZZ Clark (brother of former UK pledge Skyy Clark), Trey Parker, and Jayden Williams.

Dillingham is set to play again Friday night at 9 p.m. ET in a head-to-head matchup vs. the City Reapers, a team featuring Amen Thompson, Somto Cyril and Jahki Howard, among others.

Dillingham’s standout performance comes after a 35-point performance last weekend at the GEICO Top Flight Invite event out in Las Vegas, another showcase of high-profile recruits. The future Wildcat averaged 20.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 3.0 steals and 2.0 turnovers in 21.3 minutes per contest, shooting 41.3% from the field (19-46), 23.8% from three (5-21) and 78.2% from the line (18-23).

He got out to a cold start (2-13 FG, 0-7 3PT) on night one, but finished the event scorching hot.
