Camp season is officially in the books for Kentucky football — and plenty of recruits performed well enough to receive scholarship offers from the Wildcats. Over a dozen high school recruits (from rising freshmen to rising seniors) caught the eye of the UK staff over the last week, resulting in offers being handed out.

Who stood out enough to earn a scholarship? Let’s break them all down. But first, a word from our sponsor.

Time for our weekly recruiting update presented by our friend Andy Luedecke at MyPerfectFranchise. Class of 2024 offers

Jacob Kauwe (K/P) 6-2, 200 | Billings West (Billings, MT)

  • Whenever Kentucky offers a full-ride scholarship to a special teams prospect, they must really like what they see. Jacob Kauwe took an official visit to UK earlier in the week and went back home to Montana with an offer in hand. Other programs are keeping a close eye on Kauwe (he also visited Oklahoma, Duke, and Oregon State in recent days), but turning down a full scholarship to play in the SEC could be tough. With that being said, I’ve logged an RPM pick in favor of the five-star kicker/punter landing with the ‘Cats.

Quaysheed Scott (ATH) 6-0, 185 | Marion (Marion, SC)

  • Kentucky was the first Power 5 school to offer Quaysheed Scott, which he earned following an impressive camp performance earlier in the week. Although he holds over a dozen Division I offers, the big-time programs had been hesitant to reach out until UK pulled the trigger. Scott possesses impressive speed after clocking a 4.4-second (or better) 40-yard dash at multiple camps this month. A final decision could come in July.

Class of 2025 offers

Joshua Moore (WR) 6-3, 170 | West Broward (Pembroke Pines, FL)
3-star: No. 338 overall, No. 51 WR

  • The lone ranked recruit to receive a Kentucky offer this week was Joshua Moore, who announced his scholarship on Tuesday from wide receivers coach Scott Woodward, just one day before Ohio State reached out with its own offer. Moore camped with the Buckeyes and performed well in front of offensive coordinator Brain Hartline. Texas A&M, Michigan, Florida, Tennessee, Miami (FL), Arkansas, Penn State, and Colorado, among others, have all extended offers, as well.

Samari Reed (WR) 6-2, 180 | Monarch (Coconut Creek, FL)

  • Samari Reed is going to be a big-name recruit sooner rather than later. Prior to earning an offer from Kentucky on Monday, he already held scholarships from the likes of Florida, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Florida State, Texas A&M, and a few others. Reed’s first-ever DI offer came in January and his recruitment has exploded ever since.

Ethan Moore (ATH) 6-2, 185 | Madison Southern (Berea, KY)

  • One of a few in-state recruits to receive an offer from UK this week was Ethan Moore, who camped on Tuesday and announced an offer on Wednesday. This is the first D1 offer for Moore, who suits up for Madison Southern HS.

Tyson Long (CB) 6-0, 170 | Pickerington North (Pickerington, OH) –> KSR+ interview

  • Pickerington North has brought down loads of recruits for camp opportunities at Kentucky over the last two weeks. Tyson Long is just the latest to pick up an offer, which he announced after his camp performance on Monday. Miami (OH) and Toledo were his first two offers before the ‘Cats reached out. Long will soon visit Pittsburgh and Marshall for more camps.

Class of 2026 offers

Milan Parris (WR) 6-4, 185 | Walsh Jesuit (Akron, OH)

  • After camping at Kentucky on Monday, Milan Parris announced an offer from Coach Woodward. This was his third from a P5 school, joining Wisconsin and Purdue. Parris also holds scholarships from the likes of Central Michigan, Ball State, UMass, and Ohio.

Marlon Harbin (WR) 5-11, 175 | St. Xavier (Louisville, KY)

  • Another in-state prospect, St. Xavier’s Marlon Harbin announced his offer from Kentucky on Wednesday after a camp visit. Louisville and UT-Martin have also reached out with scholarships in the last week.

Landen Miree (TE) 6-3, 205 | Princeton (Cincinnati, OH)

  • Starting with Landen Miree, you’ll begin to notice a trend here. Associate head coach Vince Marrow likes him some tight ends from the Cincinnati area. Miree is one of three that picked up a Kentucky offer this week, which he earned after camping on Tuesday — his first from a DI school.

Andre Parker (ATH) 5-11, 190 | Princeton (Cincinnati, OH)

  • Also from the Cincinnati area, Andre Parker is listed as an athlete but primarily suits up as a linebacker. He announced his first-ever DI offer on Tuesday, which came from Coach Marrow after a solid camp performance.

Sam Hamilton (TE) 6-3, 205 | Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati, OH) –> KSR+ interview

  • Another Cincinnati tight end, Sam Hamilton announced his offer from Coach Marrow after camping on Monday. Like many of the recruits mentioned above, this was the first DI scholarship for Hamilton, who also camped at Tennessee this week. He’ll camp at Wisconsin and Notre Dame next week, too. Hamilton is former high school teammates with a pair of current Wildcats, TE Josh Kattus and WR Brandon White.

Cooper McCutchan (TE) 6-4, 215 | Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati, OH)

  • The third and final Cincinnati tight end to earn a Kentucky offer is Cooper McCutchan, which he announced after camping at UK on Monday. McCutchan doubles as a basketball player, possessing impressive size that translates well to the gridiron.

Class of 2027 offers

Maddox Hager (TE) 6-6, 200 | Boyle County (Danville, KY) –> KSR+ interview

  • The lone rising freshman to earn a Kentucky offer is Boyle County’s Maddox Hager, who is already clocking in at 6-foot-6, 200 pounds. This was the first DI offer for Hager, which he received from Coach Marrow. Hager, who didn’t start playing football until seventh grade, says he grew up watching UK football.

Other recruiting notes

  • Danville (KY) Boyle County WR Montavin Quisenberry picked up an offer from Michigan on Wednesday. The class of 2025 in-state prospect is gaining momentum with his recruitment lately. He was a frequent visitor during Kentucky’s camps over the last couple of weeks (both as a camper and observer) and the Wildcats’ continue to keep close tabs on him. Ole Miss also offered Quisenberry last Friday. The 5-foot-9 speedster could ultimately wind up as a nationally-ranked recruit if he impresses once again as a junior this fall.
  • Jacksonville (FL) Andrew Jackson OT Deryc Plazz was committed to Penn State for just nine days before backing off that decision on Thursday. Considered a three-star recruit in the 2024 class, Plazz committed to the Nittany Lions shortly after taking an official visit there to begin the month. Kentucky didn’t crack his top 5 in May, but there was a point when the ‘Cats were paying close attention to him. It’ll be interesting to see if UK gets involved again.
