Ryan Harrow ready for 2012-13

If you need a good long read to finish out your Sunday, how about this one about Ryan Harrow?  Harrow has kind of been overshadowed during the offseason, mostly because of the (once-again) highly-touted recruiting class coming in.  The transfer from NC State, however, has been making it happen during open gyms this summer - a team with Harrow and Julius Mays playing together hasn’t lost a game yet.  As Kentucky fans, what do we love more than a rumor that someone's tearing it up during the summer? Harrow isn’t exactly the stereotypical “Calipari point guard” — for one, he’s not a freshman as Tyreke Evans, Derrick Rose, John Wall, Brandon Knight and Marquis Teague all were when they led the dribble-drive.  But Cal recruited Harrow in high school, and he went after him again when NC State didn’t work out.  He believes in his ability and the potential Harrow has of continuing the line of successful Cal point guards. Mays clearly believes the same thing: In the article, Harrow says, “He (Mays) told me he’s excited to play with me because he’s never played with a guy that can just get him open shots.” We like open shots around here in Lexington.
