Score predictions for quarterfinal round of the 2025 Kentucky high school football playoffs
Quarterfinal action is nearly here.
The 2025 UK HealthCare Sports Medicine State Football Finals continue Friday with 24 postseason games spread across all six classes. By the start of the weekend, we’ll have two dozen schools left fighting for the six state championships. But before we get too far ahead of ourselves, we have the quarterfinals to get through. 23 of KSR’s top 25 ranked teams remain in the postseason. We’ll have four matchups between ranked schools on Friday, headlined by the KSR Game of the Week between No. 9 Ryle and No. 10 Frederick Douglass in Lexington.
As we gear up for more postseason action, we’re predicting scores for all 24 playoff games on the schedule for Friday. Using the Massey Ratings — a system created in 1999 by statistician Kenneth Massey that was used to help determine the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) until 2013 — we can look up score predictions for every game happening across the state. The Massey Ratings are computer-generated ratings based on historical trends and current-year statistics.
