An amazing surprise.... Just spoke with Scotty and will have some tidbits from his interview in just a few minutes. Just a week ago I was told by one of Hopson's coaches that UK was in the driver's seat if they wanted him bad enough. Then this past week Hopson told a recruiting analyst that Ohio State and Tennessee were moving on him the hardest. And now this. What can you say?
Here was my conversation with Scotty:
Question What made you decide to commit to Mississippi State?
Answer:
I just felt like it was the best place for me. They had shown me the most love since my freshman year and had been recruiting me when really nobody else was. I remember those things. I have been down there about three times so I know the place. Plus I just like everybody down there and thought that is where I want to be.
Question: This commitment comes before your junior year, why did you decide so early?
Answer:
To be honest, I just wanted to get this pressure off my shoulders. I now know the decision is made and I can relax from here on out.
Question: A couple of weeks ago you mentioned to me Ohio State, Tennessee, Kentucky and Mississippi State as your primary schools. Did anything change between now and then?
Answer:
I dont know that anything changed, it just became clearer. Mississippi State has always been one of my top schools and I just decided I wanted to go ahead and do it.
Scotty already had folks calling and sound stressed, so I kept it short. This one threw me off, I must admit it.

Tyrone Nash has committed to Notre Dame. So there you go....
