The Harrison Twins showed how valuable they are to this team's success in the second half last night, but NBA scouts reportedly remain torn on their draft stock.
Adam Zagoria spoke to two scouts yesterday who said that the Twins should stay in school another year.
“They both could use more time in college to grow their games,” one veteran NBA scout told SNY.tv. “Truth be told, a lot of scouts like Ulis and Booker more. [The Harrisons] both have improved but another year will only benefit them.”
Draft Express currently projects Andrew to be drafted 46th and Aaron 50th, while NBADraft.net has Andrew being picked 53rd and Aaron not at all. Chad Ford recently said he believes the Twins will either go mid-to-late second round or not at all.
If UK wins #9 this season, the Twins' stock will likely rise with the rest of the team's, but this quote from Zagoria's article bothers me:
One NBA executive said of the twins: “They are unique because they are twins. If they were viewed as individuals without the UK politics, Ulis and Booker would be starting.”
I don't know...it sure was nice to have the Twins last night. Now, where are my cluttermuffs?
