Now that those hot names are off the "Most Wanted," who will be next in line?  Saturday Down South listed the Top Ten, beginning with the obvious first choice, Lane Kiffin.  Jeremy Pruitt and Ed Orgeron are another pair of names that would quickly come to mind.  You might not think it, but Eddie Gran's name entered the conversation.
Gran was directing high powered offenses at Cincinnati for the past few seasons before taking the offensive coordinator job in Lexington.  He’s also coached running backs at three other SEC schools (Ole Miss, Auburn and Tennessee). Gran was already garnering attention for jobs at some smaller schools, and if he can help Kentucky reach the postseason this season, it will only help his chances of getting a top job somewhere down the line.
Mark Stoops has lost plenty of assistants who have taken promotions at other schools.  The last time he lost an offensive coordinator to become a head coach, Neal Brown went to Troy without eye-opening success at Kentucky.  If Gran gets the Cats over the hump, the names calling could be bigger than any we've ever seen.
