If the SEC Tournament started today, Kentucky would be the No. 7 seed with a first-round bye.

The Cats’ first opponent would be LSU in the quarterfinals, and that game would have the 6 pm (CT) time slot on Thursday.

Tennessee, the tournament’s No. 2 seed, would be waiting on Friday if Kentucky advanced; while Florida would likely be the semifinal opponent should things go that far. Kentucky is 0-3 against those two teams this season.

This will of course change as the season progresses, and it could change drastically considering several of the teams are tied in the standings with head-to-head games left to play. But if the tournament were to tip today, the bracket would be as you see above.

For what it’s worth, Kentucky currently has a 9.76 percent chance to win the tournament, according to TeamRanking.com’s projections. The site believes Kentucky will end up with the No. 6 seed after the finishing this season with a 9-9 conference record.
