We already know that Kentucky will be opening its season against Morehead State on Nov. 3rd, but what’s to come after that? Thanks to an open records request done by Caroline Makauskas of the Lexington Herald-Leader, several of Kentucky’s non-conference opponents have been revealed.

Nov. 6 vs. Monmouth

In what will be the second game of the season, Kentucky will take on the Monmouth Hawks, who went 16-15 overall last season and 10-8 in conference play. This will mark as Kentucky’s first-ever matchup with Monmouth.

Nov. 9 @ Buffalo

Clara Strack will return to her hometown as the Cats will take a trip of north to take on the Buffalo Bulls on the road at UB Alumni Arena. They finished the 2024-25 season with a 30-7 record after winning the NIT. They lost their coach, Becky Burke (former Louisville guard Becky Burke, that is), to Arizona this offseason, but that’s still an interesting game for Kentucky, especially with it being in enemy territory.

Dec. 7 vs. Central Michigan

The Chippewas will visit the new and improved Historic Memorial Coliseum on December 7th. After finishing 14-17 last year, the fighting Tony Barbee’s (can we still call them that now that he’s fired?) are looking to improve things. They’ll just have to wait after their trip to Lexington.

Dec. 14 @ Belmont (completes home-and-home series)

Belmont gave everything Kentucky could handle last season, narrowly falling to the Cats in an 84-78 nail-biter. Now, Kentucky will have to take on that same squad, but this time, on the road. It may not be Broadway, but at least a trip to Nashville is included.

Dec. 19 vs. Wright State, Dec. 28 vs. Hofstra

Kentucky will also take on Wright State, who started its season 2-14 and 0-6 in the Horizon League. They ultimately ended the year going 10-22. Lastly, there’s Hofstra — most likely Kentucky’s final opponent before SEC play begins in the new year. Similarly to Wright State, the Pride struggled last year, going 14-16 overall.

Kentucky should also have a home game against Purdue to complete a home-and-home series there, plus the SEC/ACC Challenge. Mix in a potential multi-team event and maybe a game here and there, and the schedule for year two of the Kenny Brooks era is getting closer and closer to being completed.
