Short and Insufficient Profile: Charles Mustafaa

by:Evan Hilbert08/09/08
OK, so, during the dragging, sweaty, uncomfortable months of summer, we flippantly mentioned that we would be profiling every player on the team. It will only be fun and worthwhile, we decided, if we were both informative AND funny. Well, it would be really fun if we were drunk the entire time, but that's neither here nor there. Thus, for these ten weeks leading up to the UL game, we will have at least one profile a day. We hope you enjoy these as much as we enjoyed the idea of doing them, but not the actual task. Oh, and we see the egregious "that's what she said" in the headline. We'd also like to use this italicized space to apologize to the families of the players whose last names end in 'A' or 'B' because these early ones might suck a little. Charles Mustafaa Boring, Obligatory Vitals Height--6'3'' Weight--258 40--N/A Year--Freshman Position--Defensive Lineman Hometown--College Park, GA (Westlake) Unfair comparison to NFL-er: His dad, Najee, who played for seven seasons in the league. His dad is probably on Madden for Super Nintendo and Sega. That's awesome. Most interesting fact from his media guide bio: His cousin, Derek Smith, played basketball at UL and professionally for nine years. Something we made up about him: Questionable pedigree. Items of legitimate interest: Injured his knee last season and was forced to redshirt. Described by his high school coach as having "his best years ahead of him." He had 61 tackles and 3 sacks his senior year, and he also played baseball for four years in high school. Outlook for 2008, based on light research by our minions: Hopes to be full speed by August. Listed third on the depth chart at tackle.
