Some nice perspective on Nerlens' injury

It's not often that we praise the national media for providing perspective, but today may be the day. ESPN's Dana O'Neil, formerly of Those-Who-Hate-Kentucky-And-Conspire-To-Bring-Them-Down, has seemingly turned over a new leaf to the Kentucky program in the past year. Today, she writes about Nerlens Noel's season-ending ACL injury and instead of focusing on what it means for Nerlens the player, she looks at what it means for Nerlens the person. An excerpt:
They're athletes first and last, guys who grew up playing their sport, who consider going to practice as much a part of their daily routine as brushing their teeth. So imagine what it feels like when -- poof! -- it's gone. Noel knows what his injury means to Kentucky. Noel knows what it could mean to his draft status. But right now it means one thing: He can't play basketball for the foreseeable future.
Go check it out. [O'Neil: It's about a kid and a torn-up knee]
