It was a wild ride until the last second, but Jeremiah Dillon is heading to Ole Miss.

A three-star wide receiver from Tylertown, Mississippi, Dillon chose the Rebels over the likes of Kentucky, Virginia, and Memphis. Up until Sunday, there was a strong belief that he would end up in a Wildcat uniform, but recruiting experts had a change of tune throughout the day as predictions began to swing in favor of Ole Miss. In the end, the speedy pass-catcher went with Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss over Liam Coen’s pitch.

Dillon isn’t the most highly-rated prospect, but he possesses incredible speed that you just can’t coach. Many believed he would eventually outperform his low three-star ranking. He ran a personal record 10.53-second 100-meter dash as a junior and later finished second in the Mississippi 3A State 100-meter dash with a time of 10.66 seconds. Dillon would have been a nice fit for what Coen wants to install in the passing game, but it’s now onto the next one for the staff.
