Stanford transfer Andrej Stojakovic commits to California over Kentucky

Just a couple of days ago, it was announced that Andrej Stojakovic was down to three schools: California, North Carolina, and Kentucky. A visit to Lexington was in the works for the Stanford transfer, but before he could even lock in a date with the Wildcats, he went ahead and committed to the Golden Bears.
On3’s Joe Tipton reported the news of Stojakovic’s transfer to Cal on Saturday. He’ll have three years of eligibility left.
With Stojakovic off the board, Wake Forest forward Andrew Carr is the lone expected visitor for this weekend. Oklahoma guard Otega Oweh visited earlier in the week, Saint Mary’s guard Aidan Mahaney visited on Friday, and Utah State forward Great Osobor will arrive on campus this Monday.

As a freshman at Stanford in 2023-24, Stojakovic averaged 7.8 points and 3.4 rebounds in 22.3 minutes per contest. He shot 40.9 percent from the floor, 32.7 percent from deep, and 52.8 percent from the line.
The son of longtime NBA veteran and three-time All-Star Peja Stojakovic, Andrej quickly heard from Kentucky’s new head coach Mark Pope once taking over the job. Pope was already actively recruiting the younger Stojakovic to BYU when he was coaching the Cougars, and he carried that relationship over to UK.
