Kentucky signed a Top 25 high school recruiting class in December. They spent the last month turning the page to the 2025 recruiting class. After hitting the road to speak to prospective players in person, Kentucky is hosting a star-studded affair for Junior Day 2024.

Even though it’s called “Junior Day,” it’s not exclusively reserved for the rising senior class. This Saturday is an opportunity for underclassmen to tour Kentucky’s campus, enjoy a photo shoot in the Wildcats’ uniform (for one final time before the ban goes into effect March 1), and take in a game at Rupp Arena between the Cats and the Vols.

KSR has compiled a list of some of the players who are expected to be in town for the event, and a few of them could one day become household names across the Big Blue Nation.

In-State Stars

Martels Carter (S) 6-1, 185 | Paducah Tilghman (Paducah, KY)
4-Star: No. 169 overall, No. 15 S

Originally from Chattanooga, Carter moved to Kentucky ahead of the 2023 football season and quickly became the top-ranked prospect in the Commonwealth. Vince Marrow and Mark Stoops are going all in to keep away other big-name suitors.

Isaac Sowells Jr. (IOL) 6-1.5, 290 | Louisville Male (Louisville, KY)
3-Star: No. 627 overall, No. 63 IOL

One of the best centers in America is in the middle of the first significant high school recruiting battle between Jeff Brohm and Mark Stoops. The in-state schools aren’t the only ones involved. He was at Miami last weekend for an unofficial visit. West Virginia, Virginia, Virginia Tech, NC State, and South Carolina are just a few of the schools showing significant interest.

Montavin Quisenberry (WR) 5-9, 160 | Boyle County (Danville, KY)

One of the top 10 players in the state of Kentucky, the shifty athlete runs out of the backfield and catches passes out of the slot for the perennial 4A state champs. Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Michigan, and Ole Miss are also pursuing this short, explosive athlete.

Ohio Recruits

Dawayne Galloway (CB) 6-2, 175 | Franklin (Columbus, OH)
4-star: No. 103 overall, No. 11 CB

Folks, this could be another big one for the Big Dog in the Buckeye State. Ohio State has not gone all in, giving Kentucky an opening in a city where Marrow has had success recruiting over the years.

Bo Jackson (RB) 6-0, 204 | Villa Angela – St. Joseph HS (Cleveland, OH)
4-Star: No. 116, No. 8 RB

Vince Marrow was in Cleveland to visit Jackson on Wednesday. We’re expecting Jackson to return the favor this weekend with a trip to Lexington. This is a recruitment where Ohio State’s Brian Hartline is heavily involved. Penn State and Michigan are also players for one of the best running backs in America.

Marquise Davis (ATH) 5-11, 200 | Cleveland Heights (Cleveland, OH)
4-Star: No. 180, No. 9 ATH

Davis is ranked as an ATH, but he spends the majority of his time at running back. In addition to the Big Ten powers that be, Tennessee is also trying to pry Marrow away from the extraordinary talent from Cleveland.

Quintin Simmons (WR) 6-0, 170 | Withrow (Cincinnati, OH)
4-Star: No. 287 overall, No. 40 WR

A teammate of freshman cornerback Terhyon Nichols, one of UK’s highest-ranked commitments in the 2024 recruiting class, Simmons does a little bit of everything for a team that’s loaded with Power Five talent. Last fall he caught passes, took hand-offs out of the backfield, and returned kicks for touchdowns. Kentucky is a finalist in his recruitment, along with Michigan, Penn State, West Virginia, Syracuse, and Cincinnati.

Jayden Clark (OT) 6-5, 285 | Northmont (Clayton, OH)
3-Star: No. 556 overall, No. 42 OT

This big offensive tackle has crept under the radar after missing his entire 2023 campaign with a knee injury. Clark may not remain under the radar for long.

Tucker Kattus (IOL) 6-5, 300 | St. Xavier (Cincinnati, OH)
3-star: No. 622 overall, No. 61 IOL

The youngest of the Kattus crew could be on commitment watch this weekend. However, he may want to enjoy the recruiting process for a little longer. The biggest of the bunch, in the last two weeks the offensive lineman has received offers from Virginia Tech, Vandy, Purdue, Indiana, and Georgia Tech.

Raphael Greene (IOL) 6-6, 320 | Winton Woods (Cincinnati, OH)
3-Star: No. 650 overall, No. 69 IOL

Marrow has successfully recruited Winton Woods since Mike Edwards was roaming the halls of the Cincinnati school. The Big Dog was the first to offer this enormous offensive lineman that could grow into an offensive tackle at the next level.

Brennen Ward (QB) 6-1, 180 | Gahanna Lincoln (Gahanna, OH)
3-Star: No. 580 overall, No. 47 QB

Kentucky needs to take multiple quarterbacks in the 2025 class and Ward is one of a few players Liam Coen is targeting to possibly team up with Stone Saunders.

More Talented Kentucky Football Targets

Iose Epenesa (EDGE) 6-4, 245 | Edwardsville (Edwardsville, IL)
4-Star: No. 30 overall, No. 2 EDGE

I thought Kentucky was swinging a little too big when they offered one of the best prospects in the country. Now they are getting him onto campus, a significant development. It’s a step in the right direction, but it will take a lot for Kentucky to win out over Iowa, the place where his brother starred before going to the NFL.

Cameron Miller (CB) 5-10, 160 | Winslow Twp (Atco, NJ)
4-Star: No. 263 overall, No. 29 CB

He’s ranked as the No. 165 overall player in the country by On3. Michigan and Penn State are also in play for this outstanding cornerback.

Eugene Hilton (WR) 5-10, 170 | Zionsville (IN)
3-Star: No. 477 overall, No. 75 WR

The son of former Indianapolis Colts Pro Bowl wide receiver TY Hilton, Kentucky is one of Hilton’s top six schools. Ole Miss, Missouri, Wisconsin, Miami, and his father’s alma mater, FIU, are also in the mix for his services.

Mason Alexander (CB) 6-0, 165 | Hamilton Southeastern (Fishers, IN)
3-Star: No. 372 overall, No. 42 CB

This guy is blowing up. Oregon offered him this week. Mario Cristobal landed a helicopter at his high school to see him. Plenty of other schools are also in pursuit of this impressive prospect.

Darrin Strey (OT) 6-6, 295 | Paw Paw (Paw Paw, MI)
3-Star: No. 421 overall, No. 30 OT

It’s abundantly clear Strey was blown away when he received an offer from Kentucky. However, that was with Zach Yenser at the helm. This weekend he’ll get a chance to meet Eric Wolford and see the campus for the first time.
