How about some more good news for the football Cats? Wide receiver Tayvion Robinson is returning to Kentucky for a super-senior season. He announced the news on social media with a graphic simply entitled, “I’m Back: One Last Ride.”

After transferring in from Virginia Tech, Robinson totaled 40 receptions for 497 yards and three touchdowns in the 2022 season. He was Kentucky’s third-leading receiver behind Barion Brown and Dane Key, although he missed the two games of the regular season due to injury. His best performance came in the win over Northern Illinois when he had seven catches for 147 yards and two touchdowns. He also crossed the 100-yard receiving mark in the season-opener vs. Miami (Ohio), totaling six catches for 136 yards.

Robinson’s return is welcome news for an offense that loses Will Levis and Chris Rodriguez to the NFL but brings in former NC State quarterback Devin Leary and Vanderbilt running back Ray Davis and returns playmakers like Brown and Key. He is the latest Wildcat to announce his return, joining JJ Weaver, Kenneth Horsey, and Brenden Bates in recent days. With former offensive coordinator Liam Coen also expected to announce his return to Kentucky this week, the future is looking bright once again.
