More than a month after being drafted, Marquis Teague is finally making it official, signing his rookie contract with the Chicago Bulls. According to the Chicago Tribune, Teague will make $857,000 in his first year, only 100% of his slotted salary (first round picks usually receive 120%). The Bulls are faced with a hard-cap situation after signing veterans Kirk Hinrich and Marco Belinelli, but expect the remaining years of Teague's contract to be at the 120% slotted salary. Regardless, Teague is ready to get to work: "It feels good to finally get it out of the way," Teague said in a phone interview. "I just want to get in the gym and start working out." Congrats, Marquis!
