Tennessee star RB John Kelly suspended for Saturday's game
HUGE news out of Knoxville: Tennessee just announced that star running back John Kelly and linebacker Will Ignont are suspended for Saturday night’s game.
Earlier today, the news came out that Kelly and Ignont were cited for misdemeanor drug possession after cops discovered a bag of marijuana and a glass pipe in Kelly’s car after pulling him over for a busted headlight last night.
“Members of our football team have a responsibility to represent the University of Tennessee in a first-class manner,” Butch Jones said in a statement, per the Knoxville News Sentinel. “I met with John and Will and they understand their actions were unacceptable.”

Ignont is just a backup, but Kelly is by far the Volunteers’ biggest playmaker. He is fourth in the SEC in rushing this season with 615 yards and has a team-high six touchdowns.
So, a team that hasn’t scored an offensive touchdown in 14 quarters will be without its top playmaker. We got this.
