Quarterback Terry Wilson has only been on Kentucky's campus for a few weeks, but UK already feels like home. "It's heaven here," Terry Touchdown said in his first interview as a Kentucky Wildcat.  "I'm settling in great.  Everybody's showing me the routes.  There's such great people here.  I love it here already.  I've been here for two weeks and I'm just loving it." Wilson's affair with Kentucky could best be described as love at first sight.  Many other schools tried to get the quarterback to visit, but after he stepped foot in the Bluegrass State, he knew he was home. "I was so set on coming in; I loved this place.  As soon as I touched down here, I just fell in love with it.  Seeing that I have the opportunity to come in here and do big things, that's important to me." Since arriving on campus, Wilson has taken a deep dive into the UK playbook.  His third playbook in three years, installing an offense is nothing new to Terry Touchdown.  All he has to do is learn new terminology. Wilson's most difficult task as a transfer quarterback is learning more about his teammates.  A position that not only requires advanced knowledge of the receivers' nuances, but quarterbacks are also inherently leaders.  The play-callers must be on the same page with the rest of the offense, and earning their respect doesn't happen overnight. "Getting that camaraderie with the team is like the biggest thing on my end." Wilson's building that by working with his wide receivers at Kroger Field.  When it isn't all business, he's hanging out with his new teammates at the movies or playing pick-up basketball games.  All the blissful fun at the beginning of Wilson's first semester on campus is setting the foundation to achieve his ultimate goal. "You have to be mentally prepared, mentally strong for things like this. I feel like, just keeping my head strong and keeping my vision -- tight tunnel vision -- just keeping my focus on what I need to do, what the goal is for me, for this team and the guys out there so we can get the job done."  He added, "I'm very excited."   Stay tuned for more from interviews with UK's early enrollees.  Until then, enjoy everything Terry Touchdown had to say.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjnnJXiwoZ4 [mobile_ad]
