The Best of DeAndre Liggins' Wardrobe

With a one-point lead over second-seeded North Carolina and 40 seconds remaining in the 2011 East Regional Final, Darius Miller drove the lane and kicked it out to the corner to DeAndre Liggins, who knocked down the shot of his career: a three-pointer to send Kentucky to the Final Four. I never thought I could love Liggins more than I did at that moment. It was the pinnacle of my fandom, so I thought at the time. And then, about two years later, I started following DeAndre Liggins on Instagram, opening my eyes to a whole new world of Deandre Liggins' awesomeness. That awesomeness is his wardrobe and I would like to share with you some of my favorites from his closet tonight. I must admit, my Banana Republic credit card (save the jokes, please) is the extent of my fashion expertise, so I live vicariously through DeAndre, the unlikeliest of fashionistas... We all know shoes aren't what they were ten years ago. Nancy used to take me to Finish Line in Eastland Mall with a 75 dollar limit and I would walk away with a pair of black and white And 1 high-tops that would last me two seasons, and I was happier than Rob Kardashian on 10 cent wing night. Nowadays, shoes are more colorful than Boystown during a Pride parade and one pair is only good for two or three wears. It is common for a basketball player to own 100 pairs of shoes -- only three or four of those matching the team uniform, of course -- but not many collections out there can compete with Liggins' shoe rack. They say, "Hey, I'm comfortable, I love Sly Stallone classics, and I don't give a **** what you think about my outfit." Next question: Who knew it was possible to own a shirt with King Tut's face on it? Furthermore, who knew it was possible to own two Tutankhamun shirts?   My 7th grade Social Studies book called, it wants its cover back. Target, the store you can't get a woman out of, or the perfect backdrop to model the Liggins fall collection? I see one copy of Yeezus left back there for $11.99. It's probably edited, though.
