The Case for National Player of the Year

by:Thomas Beisner02/20/09
It seems to be quite a long shot at this point, but Andy Glockner at Sports Illustrated thinks Jodie Meeks should be the National Player of the Year instead of Oklahoma's Blake Griffin.  Meeks has had a number of supporters lately from Bruce Pearl to Jay Bilas, but this is perhaps the most thorough breakdown of a player who Glockner calls "lethal and lethally efficient".  If he keeps it up, he might just pass Sheray Thomas as my favorite #23 in UK history. Go Cats.
