As we get closer to the 2022 NBA All-Star weekend, which is set to place from Feb. 18-20, we’re getting a clearer idea of which former Kentucky Wildcats will make the trip to Cleveland.

The third round of All-Star fan votes was released on Thursday afternoon and the same four one-time Wildcats who made the cut last week were on the list once again: Anthony Davis, Karl-Anthony Towns, Devin Booker, and Bam Adebayo. Fan voting comes to an end this Saturday, Jan. 22 at midnight. You can get your final votes in by clicking the link here.

Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers leads the four former ‘Cats with 2,071,920 votes while Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves comes in behind him with 1,195,004 votes. Booker of the Phoenix Suns is third with 867,222 votes and Adebayo of the Miami Heat is fourth among one-time Kentucky players with 417,661 votes.

The voting is divided into four, 10-player categories–Western Conference frontcourt, Western Conference guards, Eastern Conference frontcourt, and Eastern Conference guards–meaning only 40 players can make the final fan-voting cut. The leading overall vote-getters as of Jan. 20 are LeBron James (6,827,449 votes), Stephen Curry (6,019,418), Kevin Durant (5,496,513), and Giannis Antetokounmpo (5,124,925).

Davis has not played for LA since mid-December due to a sprained MCL, but is still receiving plenty of fan votes due to the power of the Lakers’ fan base. Towns is well-deserving of his votes and should likely make his third All-Star Game when the rest of the voting is conducted. The same can be said for Booker, who is shining on the NBA’s best team by record. Adebayo, like Davis, has missed several weeks this season and is earning votes on the backs of Heat fans. It’s unlikely for him to make his second All-Star Game due to the time missed.

Fan voting accounts for 50 percent of the overall All-Star ballot. Current players and media members split the remaining 50 percent to ultimately decide who makes the final roster. All-Star starters will be announced on Jan. 27 with the reserves announced on Feb. 3. Kentucky should have a couple of representatives.
