American Pharoah actually had a faster final quarter, finishing the last 440 yards 0.68 seconds quicker than Big Red.
What would it be like if the two horses raced? Of course, we'll never know, but the Wall-Street Journal put together

According to Bob Baffert, American Pharoah's last race will be the Breeder's Cup at Keeneland on October 31, the same day Kentucky plays Tennessee at Commonwealth Stadium. If that actually happens, what a weekend to be in Lexington.
